“Thankyou again for helping me choose my DREAM wedding dress I am still so obsessed with my dress and wish I could wear it everyday. You were incredible and made my wedding dress buying experience.”

Your Name?

Abi Richards (Eekkk my new name!!)

What is the name of your wedding venue?

Rowton Castle

Name of your wedding dress boutique?

130 Atelier Bridal

Name of your dress designer and style?

Wtoo By Watters - Lisle

Before you started shopping for your dress, did you have an idea of the type or style of gown you wanted?

I knew (hoping) that I wanted a flowy fairytail dress, as I had never tried a wedding dress on before I felt super stressed if this ended up being something that didn’t suit me!

Did you have an idea of the wedding dress designer / label you wanted?

I had no idea, I was very open to all designers!

How did you find out about your boutique?

I was searching boutiques within my area and came along Sophie’s amazing Bridal store!

What made you decide to go with the boutique you did?

After speaking to Sophie on social media she seemed amazing and super easy to talk too and I think that makes a massive difference when it comes to dress shopping.

How did your boutique make you feel special?

Sophie & her mum were super easy to talk too, made you feel special and took time to speak to you about your engagement and all your wedding plans! Sophie even noticed I had liked some dresses on her Instagram before arriving to the store and pulled them out for me to try!

What were your favourite parts of the wedding dress shopping experience?

Seeing yourself as a bride to be, being able to try on all these different styles and seeing yourself in 'your' dream dress for the first time! And of course the big "Yes" moment.

Was the experience of shopping for your wedding dress as you expected, or was it something totally different?

It was exactly how I imagined apart from the nerves that hit you, I felt a lot of pressure choosing the dress however that doesn't take away the excitement you feel!

How many other shops did you visit?

I visited one other shop before 130!

Can you tell us about any experiences you had from other boutiques?

I wouldn't say it's a negative experience however at my other shop experience I didn't feel it was very personalised and felt you were left to your own devices when choosing the dress from the rails (which some people like) however I felt like I would of liked to ask questions and they didn't really ask anything about myself.

What is your advice to other brides who are about to start dress shopping?

When searching for your dream wedding dress remember to enjoy to process you only get to do this once so take it in. Following on from that stay open minded you might like the wild card! And remember to stay true to yourself and choose what YOU want!

Any additional advice about planning / wedding day?

Do NOT stress, everything plans out in the end and your bridal journey goes so quickly, take it all in and enjoy being a bride!

“It was the most special day of my life! The dreamiest wedding ever!”
