Emily // Sept 22 // St Peter’s Church + Giovannis Restauant, Knutsford

How BEAUTIFUL is our 130 bridey Emily?

AND she has such a heart of gold ( and creates amazingly delish sweet treats @emilykatebakes )

Emily had her eyes on 130 for a few months, she told me house renovations were first then it would be wedding planning. But I think our boutique window kept distracting her!

Cut to coming to finding an amazing dress she took home the very same day!

Her gorgeous baby boy wanted to join in on the wedding day - none of us knew during the appointment what was to unfold! :)

But @pearls_sewing_room_uk worked her magic to ensure Emily feel beautiful, confident and comfortable on her wedding day 24.09.22 x

Emily, what is the name of your wedding venue?

St Peter’s Church, Congleton followed by Giovannis restaurant, Knutsford

Name of your dress designer and style?

Watters - Ruby. A gorgeous lace dress

Before you started shopping for your dress, did you have an idea of the type or style of gown you wanted?

I thought I wanted a ballgown in satin fabric with a slit up the front. We were planning a black tie wedding and I thought this style would suit the theme best.

Did you have an idea of the wedding dress designer / label you wanted?

I didn’t to be honest. I just thought I wanted a big ball gown dress.

How did you find out about your boutique?

130 Atelier is in my home town. I passed the shop daily since it opened and always loved the dresses in the window. Every window change was stunning.

What made you decide to go with the boutique you did?

I was walking my dogs past the shop and stopped in my tracks. The Watters Ruby dress was in the window. A gorgeous, lace dress. Elegant and simple yet stunning. It was the opposite of what I had in mind for my big day but the dress just seemed very “me”.

I just had to go in and try it on!

How did your boutique make you feel special?

Sophie is an actual angel. She makes you feel special from the second your appointment is booked. I arrived at the shop to my name welcoming me on the door. A rail of dresses pre picked out after explaining my style pre appointment. Every dress I put on I was made to feel gorgeous in.

What were your favourite parts of the wedding dress shopping experience?

If I’m being totally honest, as exciting as the dress shopping was it truly was Sophie that made it the best experience. I was made to feel at ease the second I stepped foot in the shop. There wasn’t a pressure to purchase anything. I was just made to feel like a beautiful bride to be.

Walking away with a dress that felt 100% me was just the icing on the cake.

Was the experience of shopping for your wedding dress as you expected, or was it something totally different?

It was magical. Better than expected and better than any other dress shopping experience I’d had. We had a laugh, some tears of joy and I felt so body confident thanks to Sophie!

What is your advice to other brides who are about to start dress shopping?

Go with an open mind.

Try on lots of styles and even if you have a vision in your head of what you want, try something you think you’ll feel comfortable and confident in.

You have to wear the dress all day and comfort is definitely key.

Make sure you wear your dress and the dress doesn’t wear you.
