Alice // March 2024 // Larkspur Lodge

Your Name?

Alice

What is the name of your wedding venue?

Larkspur Lodge

Name of your wedding dress boutique?

130 Atelier

Name of your dress designer and style?

Coco, Willowby by Watters

Before you started shopping for your dress, did you have an idea of the type or style of gown you wanted?

Yes I knew I wanted something with sleeves and after getting engaged and looking at styles I loved the look of classic romance. I saw the watters styles and loved them especially the ones with lace.

Did you have an idea of the wedding dress designer / label you wanted?

Yes only after looking and searching for puff sleeves as a criteria I saw this one dress but also loved the other designs they were selling.

How did you find out about your boutique?

I googled boutiques that sold the designer and found 130 Atelier which was most local.

What made you decide to go with the boutique you did?

It was not too far for me to travel and had a wide selection of designers including Watters. Also very transparent with their costings!

How did your boutique make you feel special?

I did a questionnaire prior to arriving! They also let family members come which was really important to me. Once there Sophie picked out dresses that suited my style from the questionnaire they were all perfect. I actually struggled picking as I loved them  all so much.

What were your favourite parts of the wedding dress shopping experience?

Trying on the dresses they were so beautiful. Also having my friends and family there shopping and when collecting made it even more fun!

Was the experience of shopping for your wedding dress as you expected, or was it something totally different?

It was more relaxed than I thought and I was so much more decisive than I thought I would be.

How many other shops did you visit?

I only visited one as there was a sale, however they had none of my style.

I also think I’d only recommend going to a sale if you have styles/ designers you love as you can try some on for the price rather than actually loving the dress.

Can you tell us about any negative experiences you had or why you were put off buying your dress from another boutique.

None as I only went to one however the website on 130 Atelier had so much detail and easy to book online in comparison to some others!

What is your advice to other brides who are about to start dress shopping?

Look for a designer that you love and find the boutique. Try on lots of styles so you know what you love!

Any additional advice about planning / wedding day?

Go with what you love, not necessarily what ‘trends’ are in! Use vendors that you love and can trust and those you feel comfortable to give honest feedback!

“Thanks again Sophie I absolutely loved my dress.”
