Before you started shopping for your dress, did you have an idea of the type or style of gown you wanted?

I knew that I wanted some detailing on the shoulders/arms but that I didn't want strapless. I also wanted something that wasn't white or ivory

Did you have an idea of the wedding dress designer / label you wanted?

I had met the lovely Sophie at a bridal show and loved the Gaia bridal gowns as they were classy yet had a little something more about them.

How did you find out about your boutique?

I discovered 130 Atelier at the North West bridal show in Liverpool

What made you decide to go with the boutique you did?

Sophie was so lovely when we met and you can tell she really enjoys her work and finding us brides the dream gown.

How did your boutique make you feel special?

Sophie goes above and beyond at the appointment, little personalised messages, drinks and treats. I really felt that she listened to what I wanted from my dress yet gave me a little encouraging nudge to try some gowns that I may not have picked myself.

What were your favourite parts of the wedding dress shopping experience?

It was so relaxed and Sophie was able to give me ideas for little tweaks we could do to the dress and also ideas for other parts of the wedding.

Was the experience of shopping for your wedding dress as you expected, or was it something totally different?

I had tried dresses on before but this appointment made it feel so much more. It was a really enjoyable part of my wedding planning.

How many other shops did you visit?

Can you tell us why you were put off buying your dress from another boutique?

The dresses at the other store were beautiful but were just not my dress.

What is your advice to other brides who are about to start dress shopping?

Be open minded and try dresses that you wouldn't normally choose and try colours.

Any additional advice about planning / wedding day?

Plan as early as possible so you can get the suppliers you really want and then you can enjoy the last few weeks before your big day. Enjoy all the lead up to the big day.

On the day take a moment to sit back and take a look around and soak up all the love and happiness in the room.
