Before you started shopping for your dress, did you have an idea of the type or style of gown you wanted?

I had 2 ideas of shapes I wanted to try, but kept a very open mind

Did you have an idea of the wedding dress designer / label you wanted?

I saw Mist online and wanted to try it from the moment I saw it

How did you find out about your boutique?

My nail tech recommended the boutique and has since gotten engaged herself

What made you decide to go with the boutique you did?

The variety of dresses available meant this boutique could be a one stop shop

How did your boutique make you feel special?

Sophie, the owner, alongside her mum was immediately able to put this nervey bride at ease, so friendly and complimentary

What were your favourite parts of the wedding dress shopping experience?

Chatting through our plans for the day with Sophie, it felt like catching up with an old friend

Was the experience of shopping for your wedding dress as you expected, or was it something totally different?

Beyond my expectations, Sophie was honest and knowledgeable and made the process seamless

How many other shops did you visit?

Not one

Can you tell us about any negative experiences you had or why you were put off buying your dress from another boutique

Not bridal but bridesmaids, 1 store was willing to order dresses knowing that they would only arrive on the week of the wedding which was bizarre! When we feedback that we didn't like a particular style she would roll her eyes, just a really unpleasant and unprofessional service. Even if we had found suitable dresses I wouldn't have purchased from that store on principle

What is your advice to other brides who are about to start dress shopping?

Start early, regardless of whether you intend to lose weight, tone up etc. Be open minded about shapes and styles, trust the bridal stylist, they know their stuff

Any additional advice about planning / wedding day?

Try to accommodate local suppliers where possible, everyone we used were local to us and a lot of the suppliers had worked with each other before so everything went smoothly.

Also don't forget it's about you and your partner, no one else matters.
